Dr. Emily Jantzi, BSc, DVM, COAC
Practice Owner
Dr. Emily Jantzi

Dr. Emily Jantzi has had an inexplicable passion for horses for as long as she can remember. Growing up in rural Ontario, she quickly traded in her ballet slippers for Blundstones and never looked back. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology at the University of Guelph, followed by veterinary school at the Ontario Veterinary College.

Emily has a keen interest in equine sports medicine and lameness, as well as reproduction and dentistry. She is certified in Equine Veterinary Spinal Manipulation and working toward Acupuncture Certification. She also holds the designation of FEI Level 3 Official Veterinarian for Show Jumping, Dressage, Eventing, and Para-Dressage. In 2024, she traveled to the Paris Olympics with the Canadian Team, supporting the Eventing and Dressage disciplines.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys showing her jumper, Chontelle, and going on hikes with her Border Terrier, Chai Tea. In what time is left, she can be found on her Peloton bike, taking in the countryside around the world—often on horseback—and experimenting with new cuisines. Fun trivia fact – Emily holds a dual Canadian-New Zealand citizenship!

Dr. Paige Manning, BSc, DVM
Practice Owner
Dr. Paige Manning

Dr. Paige grew up with the veterinary practice in her backyard and was tagging along on calls with Dr. Al before she could tie her own shoes. She became immersed in the hunter jumper world as she grew up competing and was able to get to know the clients of Manning Equine very well.

Dr. Paige completed her veterinary training at the Ontario Veterinary College and with a desire to further her knowledge, completed a rotating internship at the Atlantic Veterinary College. There, she was able to gain valuable skills in reproduction, sports medicine and internal medicine such as colics and other GI issues.

Dr. Paige enjoys all areas of practice but she does have a special interest for reproduction, be it dealing with challenging breeding situations to healthy foal exams. She also finds lameness and the associated diagnostics engaging. Paige has been an FEI treating vet since 2015.

When not spending her weekends at shows or keeping an eye on in-clinic patients, Paige can be found spending time with her Border Terrier, Winston, or trying to keep her balance on a paddle board.

Dr. Richelle Neundorf, MSc, DVM, CVMMP, CVA
Practice Owner
Dr. Richelle Neundorf

Dr. Richelle Neundorf grew up in Barrie, Ontario. Prior to vet school she completed a Masters degree at the University of Guelph. Her masters degree investigated the prevalence and degree of osteoarthritis in thoroughbred racehorses. This research highlights the horse as an elite athlete and sparked her interest in sports medicine and lameness work. She graduated from Ontario Veterinary College in 2014.

After graduation she practiced mixed animal in rural northern Alberta. Wanting to refine her clinical skills, she pursued a private practice equine internship in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. She has recently become certified in Equine Veterinary Spinal Manipulation.

When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her fiancee and border collie in the outdoors.

Dr. Alan Manning,  MSc, DVM
Practice Founder
Dr. Alan Manning

A native of Prince Edward Island, Alan grew up immersed in a horse environment, competing on the “A” jumper circuit and being involved with his family’s standardbreds. Prior to becoming a veterinarian he pursued a masters in equine reproduction at the Western College of Vet Medicine, Saskatoon. Now approaching 40 years in vet medicine, Alan established Manning Equine on his home farm in 1998, where he also breeds and develops young warmbloods.

The majority of Alan’s time is currently spent on equine sports medicine, particularly lameness, performance horse issues and rehabilitation of equine sport injuries. A passion for equine lameness has led to Alan’s involvement with ISELP (International Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology), dedicated specifically to advanced education in the field of lameness, and he has been an invited lecturer and instructor, for lameness diagnoses and rehab protocols, both in Europe and the United States. Alan continues to be active in all aspects of equine reproduction, in particular, frozen semen work at the clinic.

To complement the practice, Alan has been an FEI Accredited veterinarian for Canada with FEI delegate status for over 20 years. In this capacity he has attended the Pan Am Games, World Equestrian Games, and Olympic Games, as a veterinarian for the dressage, para-dressage, and eventing teams.

Outside of the practice, Alan loves to be at home in PEI, and avidly pursues playing hockey, snowmobiling, skiing, riding and kiteboarding.

Dr. Nolan Dempsey, BSc, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Nolan Dempsey

Dr. Nolan Dempsey grew up just north of Toronto, Ontario. He started riding at the age of seven and took every opportunity he could to get to the barn. Nolan completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph majoring in Animal Biology and, in 2022, he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Ontario Veterinary College.

Throughout vet school, Nolan worked for Manning Equine and never looked back. Following his internship at Burwash Equine in Alberta, Nolan quickly made his way back to join Manning Equine as an associate. His special interests include gastroscopy, neonatal medicine, reproduction and surgery.

In his free time Nolan can often be found with his horse, Cera, who followed him here from Alberta.

Dr. Kineta Cousins, BSc, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Kineta Cousins

Dr. Kineta Cousins grew up in Northern Ontario where her passion for horses was evident from a young age. She began riding in the Hunter and Jumper rings before finding her true passion for the sport of Eventing.

Kineta attended the University of Guelph where she pursued an undergraduate degree in Animal Science before receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2023. She then completed a rotating equine internship at Burwash Equine Services in Alberta. There she had the opportunity to hone her clinical skills while working with a wide variety of horses in a primary care and referral setting. During this time Kineta developed special interests in dentistry, emergency medicine, and sports medicine; although there is not a facet of equine work that hasn’t sparked her interest yet!

When not at work, Kineta can usually be found at the barn riding her mare Addie. In what time is left away from the horses, Kineta enjoys being outdoors hiking, biking, and skiing, or cooking up a delicious meal for family and friends!
